"no problem sir. just dont want some faggit slaanesh psyker raping you in your sleep. tzeen..Emperor is way better." he curses the false machine god emperor bothering Vostroyan in the chimera under his breathe. he dusts off his new trench coat colored light blue purple, yellow, and gold. he recites a quote quietly, “Do not ask which creature screams in the night. Do not question who waits for you in the shadow. It is my cry that wakes you in the night, and my body that crouches in the shadow. I am Tzeentch and you are the puppet that dances to my tune...”

"We'll see how good running your mouth does you when we actually hit combat."

Jaeger chuckles, and bears a devilish grimace.

...

The Chimera's rear ramp opens, and the surrounding Guardsmen flood out into the middle of a busied staging ground. The baleful gaze from Nazara's sun is now apparent for all to see, and you feel as if there is a lingering presence in the air that you cannot shake off.
From your current location, you can spot a good portion of the company. A swarm of armored vehicles, including elements of 158th Krieg Tank Regiment are already fully packed and leaving the camp to wage war. A few spare ration and ammo crates can be seen left behind, probably intended for the skeleton crew that still occupies the staging ground. You can make out the form of Captain Eichel due to his ornate ceremonial breastplate, spit-polished and layered over his re-breather equipment. Though such ostentation in Krieg culture is heavily frowned upon, Deparmento Munitorum regulations dictate that officers must distinguish themselves form the rank-and-file.

"Lieutenant. Confessor Chekov. Let's skip the formalities and get straight to work."

Eichel kicks over a supply crate to make room for a table, placing a holo-map below. He adjusts several configurations before motioning you over.

"Our Company has been ordered to assault a series of villages along the Meridad Coast to make way for the rest of our regiment to push forward. There are a number of warehouses located in the village of Borcage that are suspect of housing weaponry far beyond the tech-levels available to this world and are of a major threat to our forces if left in enemy hands. Intelligence indicates this might be along the lines of Executioner-pattern Russes, or even such artifacts such as the Valdor and Achilles. Now,"

The captain adjusts the focuses the holo's view upon Brocage to display the village's rear entrance.

 (DH) Prologue- Descent - Page 2 Bocage10
The rear flank of Brocage

"Your platoon will be knocking on the backdoor of those Ulanai bastards, and clear the way for the 4th and 1st to push in. 2nd, 3rd, and 5th will be making an assault on the opposite end of the village, and you will link up with them after you have secured the rear flank. Once the entire company is present, we will make a push toward Brocage's Bastion networks and seize the contents of their warehouses for inspection. And as for hostiles-"

The map now lights up with dozens of red dots, and you can make out their indications:

49 infantry personnel
5 Technicals

"I don't expect you'll find the initial defenders to be of much difficulty. Any questions?"

The Whirling of well oiled machinery rang out in the cramped cabin that was the passenger section of the chimera and the ramp descended to meet the ground as the occupants of the vehicle rose to disembark. Rushing out from the relative safety of the chimera transport Chekov cursed himself for being so hasty, the cramped quarters of their former machine would prove far more comfortable than the putrid atmosphere of this heretic planet. He could feel the unforgiving sun beat down heavily upon his whole unit and a wave of heat swept over every fiber of his being, casting his gaze out around the camp he could catch light of how the cruel weather and the taint of the warp had turned a once beautiful place into a wasteland for the dying remnants of the planets once proud people.

But it wasn’t long before his thoughts were dragged back into reality and a man that he could only identify as being some sort of caption approached him.

“Lieutenant, Confessor Chekov. Let’s skip the formalities and get straight to work”.

Without giving pause the man went straight to business and proceeded to rummage around a few supply crates in an attempt to create a make-shift table. Once he was done Chekov moved to join him and peered down at the small but bright form of the Holo-map. Caption Eichel wasted no time in explaining his plan to Chekov, every so often he would have to raise his voice as elements of the local tank division rolled past, their seats bearing a full load of soldiers which had mounted onto their metal hides.
After the Caption had explained the plan with sufficient detail, Chekov went looking for answers to some of his questions. Leaning over the make-shift table to indicate a building on the Holo-map with his index finger he spoke.

“That Building, the one with the four towers protruding from each angle. This looks more like a constructed fortress than a warehouse for their goods, should we assume that this can only mean that it houses heavy weapons or the enemies anti – air capabilities, ones which may be used against us in the initial assault?”

He decides that the wait is boring and the plans of lesser beings as too slow. he Jumps off the tank removes his Inquisitorial I and his armor leaving only the blue, purple, and gold robe with a chestplate under it. he then walks towards the enemy establishment casually as to avoid being seen as a threat, his hellgun slung over his shoulder.

"Like any other rebel state, Chelkar- too much talking and no stomach to fight once the hammer of the guard is brought down upon them."

The Captain's gaze turns towards Chekov.

"Formerly, Hydra flak turrets were mounted upon the bastion's towers. However, the heavy bombing raids conducted by our forces has forced the occupying force to re-mount their flak turrets for use elsewhere. As for the equipment of the local garrison, expect only solid projectile weaponry and low-grade explosives, until we enter locales with greater influence by the coalition."

Altair, Chekov, and Chelkar:

"You are entitled to seize any equipment you find in the storage building to my left."

Eichel raises an armored gauntlet to his right and points towards a hastily erected tent, about the size of a small shack.
As he speaks, a Guardsmen equipped with a master vox ushers him over, a sense of urgency evident in his body language.
The Captain signals his for his attendant to wait, before resuming the conversation.

"I trust you lot are up to the task at hand."

With this, he walks briskly towards the vox guardsman, and two converse briefly before the command squad's centaur transport arrives, taking the captain and his assistant off-site.

He decides that he should be better off going in dramatically. He walks over one of the el tees chimeras that are about 10 feet from him. he asks the Commanding officer of the Chimera, "I need to use this to negotiate the surrender of the rebel scum. I have the Lieutenants permission."

Altair, Chekov, and Chelkar:

Chekov finds:
Environmental Body Glove (Body 1, Arms 1, Legs 1, Head 1), Rosarius (Body 2d10, Arms 2d10, Legs 2d10, Head 2d10), Eviscerator (Good) (Melee; 1d10+13 R; Pen 5; 2-Handed, Special, Tearing, Unwieldy), Puritan-14 (Stub-Pistol) (Pistol; 20m; S/3/6; 1d10+2 I; Pen 0; Reload Full; Clip 14), Stub Automatic (Best) (Pistol; 30m; S/3/-; 1d10+3 I; Pen 0; Reload Full; Clip 9), Targeter (Weapon upgrade), Photo-visors, and Daily Prayers.

Chelkar finds:
Ceremonial Breastplate (Krieg) (Body 2), 4x Lucius-Pattern (Type XII-b) Lasguns (Basic; 150m; S/-/6; 1d10+4 E; Pen 1; Reload Full; Clip 150; Reliable), Power Fist (Melee; 2d10+6 E; Pen 8; Power Field, Unwieldy), Trophy Knife (Melee; 1d5+4 R; Pen 1; Balanced), Voss-Pattern Flamer (Basic; 20m; S/-/-; 1d10+5 E; Pen 2; Reload 2 Full; Clip 3; Flame, Toxic), and Photo-Visor.

Broklaw:

At first, the driver and the squad Watchmaster eye you with a matter of suspicion before finally they hear the lieutenant's name mentioned in your speech.

"Dammit, first squad disembark! This vehicle needs to be commandeered for a negotiation attempt."
The Watchmaster and driver gruffly order the men to disembark before they themselves vacate the vehicle.
Already, you can hear complaints being muttered among the Krieg ranks, catching snippets of conversation where they remark upon the cowardice and stupidity associated with attempting negotiations with hostiles. The squad and crew idle quietly around the camp perimeter, and curse their foul luck.

...

 (DH) Prologue- Descent - Page 2 Rp_apo11

The journey to Borcage is nearly a kilometer, and the noxious, swampy terrain complicates navigation. Luckily, the rough terrain modifications upon the APC make short work of most obstructions, and you make your way to the outskirts of the village by the evening.

Giving a prayer of thanks to the Emperor Chekov emerged from the Supply shed with a high heart and a belt full of new items. Spotting a small group of guardsmen that lay huddled under the shade of one of the few trees that the landscape provided he moved to approach them, the daily prayers that he had found in the supply shed grasped firmly in his right hand. After a breif exchange with one of the men he found out that they were waiting on their chimera. In an attempt to raise there spirits he begun to recite the Prayers to the group while he himself awaited his own deployment.

Adjusting his trench coat he takes his place in the drivers seat uttering curses at the guardsmen and the Imperium. "Damn all those guardsmen to the Warp. They do not see what the Changer of Ways has in store for the universe. Damn them all!" he fires up the chimera and throttles forward toward the enemy position. He thinks to himself 'Blasted fools of the false emperor think im a coward. im saving their lives as well as saving time accomplishing my goals the master has set for me. It does not matter. Their time will come. They will join us or die."

Chekov: A Challenging (+0 Modifier) Fellowship test is required to reverse the Guardsmen's foul disposition.

Chelkar: As you emerge from the tent, the formerly desolate camp is now abuzz with activity. Most of the your men now mill about the abandoned compound, occupying themselves with the prospect of finding any supplies left behind. To your left, Jaeger and a band of Guardsmen pry open an obstinately secured supply locker only to find corpse rations within its confines. Other units are met with generally the same result, as much of the remaining equipment is simply the leftover detritus intended for use by other platoons. Used-lho sticks, unsavory meals, and broken weaponry are generally the level of equipment your men uncover as they loot the surrounding tents.

Overhead, the skies of Nazara darken as charcoal clouds billow forth into the sky.

Suddenly, the ground shakes and trembles as the transports of 1st and 4th platoon arrive onto the scene.

Broklaw:

As your Chimera crashes through the decayed plantlife and marshy soil, you trigger an ear-shatteringly raucous screech. The sound emanates from a Screamer, a variety of alarm that can be easily concealed and heard out to a kilometer. Suddenly, a series of lights flood out from the enemy compound's watchtower, a mere 21 meters away and resting upon a hill crest. The sound of shouting and vehicle revving ring about the area, as Ulanai troops spill out from the village outskirts and the watchtower begins spraying stubber fire at your vehicle.

My Fellowship is 57, I have Peer Military for +10 right?

I Roll on the Dungeons and Dragons Dice Roller and get 83(-10 = 73 = Failure
Failing my test, I will just move to my own unit and perform a headcount before assuring that the men are prepared.

Rothschild stands next to recaf machine supported by crates, propped up by a shriveled tree. The gaunt Kriegan attempts to liberate a drink from the device, but to no avail as a cursory glance at its innards reveal no recaf to be found.

"Watchmaster, upon inspection of your unit I have noticed a missing Chimera. What can you tell me about its wear- abouts?"

The Guardsman casually disposes of his mug before addressing you.

"Confessor," he exclaims, giving a short bow out of respect, "My outfit's transport was commandeered by Sargeant Broklaw, for a 'negotiation' with the Ulanai. I express my vehement disapproval upon this matter and hope that our lieutenant will change his mind on this matter."

Chekov was takes aback, his whole body would have recoiled in disgust if not for his training. Standing strong Chekov maintained his composure least the men see his distress and take it to heart.

"To even consider the idea of reasoning with traitors disgusts me, the Commissariat would have the entire platoon shot if word ever got out of this! Watchmaster, get me back that Chimera I will see about procuring you squad another for the time being."

Turning to the men gathered around in the immediate area he bellowed aloud

"The Ulanai Alliance has succeeded, and it has stung our glorious Imperium. They do not see the beacon of light that sits atop the Golden Throne as we do, given their will they would see Terra burn! This is why we fight to protect what is ours, the Ulanai Alliance has put the lives of every single man in this army at risk and therefore threatened the well-being of their families, of all they have even known! They seek to destory all we have ever worked for. But we are the Imperial Gaurd, we are his wrath, we are his fury we bring death to the enemies of the Imperium and the scum that live beyond these plains are no different, they are the enemy and will be crushed. Give them no quarter for we shall shatter their resolve under the mighty treads of our tanks! There will be no Negotiations."

(( <Charisma test, To Inspire the men?> After noting the reactions of the men he will search for another chimera or respond to Chelkar ))

Grinds the vehicle to a halt and keeps it motionless. And waits for a challenge from the rebels. Hoping the motionless chimera will make it quite apparant that it's not fighting. "Well. If worse comes to worse I get to go out with a bang." he thinks amusingly while playing with a few grenades. (how many hostiles in the area?+ vehicles) oh and ichor I need to talk to you about this later I have a little something to pull that involves a fate point
