Chelkar slams his fist on the "Play" button, Broklaw's song is soon pushed out,and all that can be heard from both the vox channel and the Chimera' speakers is

"Get to the Chimeras you fags! If your not on in 30 seconds we're leaving you!"
After this outburst Chelkar skip/walks with glee back inside the Chimera.

Victrix, Chelkar and Chekov:

The armored might of the platoon assembles onto their transports and thunder across the decayed mire of the planet's surface. As one, your unit forms up behind the closely spread formations of 1st and 4th platoons. Camouflaged in colours as dour and murky as the planet's morbid swamps, the armored advance blends well into the surrounding mire.

"There's been a change in strategy, 5th platoon-"
The voice of Abendroth is carried throughout the command squad's micro-beads, cutting through the relative silence of the transports.
"Eichel's taskforce has routed a Militia company to within the city walls. They've told their tougher comrades in the 5th army to bugger off, and now the entire occupying force is running off with their weapon caches into the metro systems. Expectedly, without our support, the enemy has been allowed to slip away deep into the underground transit systems...
We'll now have to burn them out."

As the lieutenant speaks, the vision slits reveal a land that spills out before you, as the narrow passage of the staging ground opens up into a large quagmire, filled with the incessant droning of parasitic insects and the moss-covered forms of gnarled plant life. All are crushed beneath the treads of Imperial vehicles. Spearheading the attack are the warriors of the 158th, who have attached their tank platoons to the company's formation. No less than ten Leman Russ tanks can be seen advancing alongside your platoon, their proud forms strutting out against the fetid swamp.

Your force will arrive to Broklaw's position in one minute.[

Broklaw: Though the enemy lies defeated and dying within the fetid bog, more shouts can be heard from the defense perimeter. Another wave of enemies approaches, including lascannon-totting sentinel, along with 30 more militiamen, can be seen marching to your position from the compound walls.

well since this has already occurred.. -dies- if you want details ask me Chekov or first. but basically Chekov killed me and there are 5 melted guardsmen. 1 severely burned, 2 with blown off heads. and i went back into the warp. so now im introducing the new char. Hes a Valkyrie-Vendetta pilot with the name of 14882010-19931582 KRÜGER. He was raised on the world of Lucius then joined the IG as soon as he was of age. In his pilot academy years he achieved his call-sign Nightmare 6 by constantly telling tales of a daemon with a metal clawed hand who killed people in their dreams. He is currently en-route to the ensuing war from the Imperial ship Enterprise. Fitted with hull mounted lascannons, and hellstrike missile pods. He is ready to tear up the rebels. In the meantime his door gunners and the squad of Stormtroopers hes bringing along with do last minute checks to ensure full capability.

Eisen heard the orders over the vox and prepared for the battle. He checked his ammo, made sure his Las Pistol was clean and ready. He prayed for protection and guidance for the battle ahead. This is his first time in a real battle and he felt nervous yet relaxed. He knew his training would take over and that the Emperor protects.

The Chimera lurched and shook as they went over ditches and ran over fallen down trees. He felt sorry for Broklaw, even though he was tainted by the foul Chaos gods. He felt sorry for he was misguided and will never know the glory and honour to be in the light of the God-Emprah! He overheard that another Imperial ship called the Enterprise (Lmao) was sending reinforcements to help eradicate the foul taint on this planet. He hoped that this rumour is true, since it is obvious now more than ever that Chaos has a strong hold on this planet.

Chelkar looks at Eissen and realises that due to his shakiness, it must be his first time on an actual combat mission, feeling somewhat sympathetic he gives him some reassurance by recounting past experiences.

"Hey bro don't worry, at least your first time is going to be in an actual battle against some form of military. When I first started working for the Inquisitor he sent me and that Psyker to some planet called Locanthos. I almost got devoured by Grox, killed by raiders, eaten by flesh eating blind vultures, and killed by a super daemon. And don't get me started on the mission to Prol I. So lighten up, this is nothing to worry about!"

Chelkar leans back towards the panel controlling the chimera's loudspeakers and inserts an ancient holodisk, after inserting it the proper way he skips ahead to 0:20, and presses play.

(For the sake of simplicity, only the PCs and the combatants directly involved with them will roll for initiative, hits, etc. so that the combat can focus more on the characters. I'll bring in mass combat rules when I feel that we can run individual combat more smoothly.)

All: Begin combat by rolling for initiative. (1d10+ Ag bonus)

You are currently facing a force of 30 infantry (6 Missile Launcher teams, 18 regular militiamen w/ autoguns) as well as a Lascannon-armed sentinel. The missile launcher teams are nestled in the perimeter walls, about 500 meters away from your forces. The other militiamen, as well as the sentinel, are positioned just a few meters in front, taking cover among the foliage.

Your platoon is on the right flank of 4th platoon (1 Centaur, 4 Chimeras), who in turn has 1st platoon (1 Centaur, 2 Chimeras) on its left flank. The Leman Russes (10 Leman Russes) of the 158th are spearheading the attack.

The turn order will work as this:

1. Militiamen
2. Chelkar
3. Victrix
4. Chekov
5. Imperial Guardsmen


3 Missile Launcher teams open fire at your Chimera, spotting it amidst the mire. The volley of rockets nearly misses, as only one of the projectiles hits your vehicle by its front armor. The rocket impacts into the APC with a raucous crunch, exploding inside the hull and turning the vehicle into a shattered hulk. (The damage does a total of 9 damage to everyone inside the vehicle. Everyone must make a Difficult (-10) Toughness Test or be stunned for 1 Round.) The command squad, along with the vehicle crew, are heavily wounded and will only be able to take a few more hits before dieing.

Meanwhile, the surrounding troops on both sides open fire, the distinctive whips of Imperial lasguns clashing from the crude roars made by the militiaman's solid projectile weaponry.

Kruger will arive in 2 rounds.

"One minute!" he calls out to the squad of Stormtroopers through the Vox. His Vendetta breaks through the atmosphere and hurtles at max speed towards the battlefield. "Profion, Damodar , Get a couple men on those door guns well be needing em soon! Navigator Jaeger plot best course for the drop zone!" he switches channel to his new companies frequency and arms his birds Lascannon and Hellstrike incendiary missiles. "To whoever is in command this is Lt. Kruger of the Nightmare. We are inbound with support and reinforcements. Good luck down there. Kruger out."

As he gives the orders to prepare for a hot landing, Profion can be heard yelling over the Vox at the gunners who were sleeping the ride down... "GET UP GET UP! MAN DAT BOLTER! TEST FIRE!" The gunner fires a few round off as a functions check and Profion yells, "GOOD! PREPARE TO FIRE AGAIN!"

Militiamen Turn:

4 Militiamen in the mire target Chelkar, taking note of the officer's breastplate that is showing through the gaping holes of the ruined Chimera. Three of them open up with a hurl of semi-automatic fire, hitting the Guardsman a total of four times and doing a total of six damage. The fourth fires a frag grenade from his autogun's auxiliary launcher, but the grenade instead scatters too far off to do damage.

1 Miltiaman Sniper targets Victrix, confused at the strange pysker paraphernalia that adorns him. He fires a shot off his Hunting Rifle, but to no avail as he misses his mark.


Allied Actions:
(Nearby Allies)- The command squad passes their Toughness test and immediately springs to action. Two Guardsmen fire at the sniper targeting Victrix, placing several white-hot lasbeams straight through his head. The sniper collapses to the fetid ground with still-burning las-wounds. Meanwhile Jaeger and the command squad's standard bearer target the 4 Militamen firing at Chelkar. The standard bearer hits his target, but fails to wound him due to the cover he is in.

(Other Allies)- As you find yourself enveloped in enemy fire, the surrounding platoons direct their attention to militia reinforcements pouring out of the city gates. Incapable of mustering the same equipment and expertise as the Imperial Guard, the incoming Militia are simply butchered as they attempt to cross the mire. Multilaser fire rips apart infantry with searing heat as bolter rounds slam into man and machine alike with thunderous force. The combined fire of the APCs and their passengers kill a total of fifty hostiles, along with several Outrider vehicles.

Kruger will arrive in 1 round.

Chelkar stumbles out the back of the chimera in a rage, screaming repeatedly "Mother fuckers almost shot me in the dick!!!" and giving random militiamen the middle finger. afterwards he limps through the crossfire to the cover Victrix is hiding behind. he pats him on the back and says "Now the fun starts!" before raising up and firing his lasgun in a burst at the group of militiamen that had previously attacked him. (2,75,38), after taking out three of them he turns to Victrix and asks him for medical assistance.

Victrix nearly shat himself as the snipers shot barely missed him. He was so distracted by the shot that he almost didnt feel Chelkar pat him on the back. After the lieutenant fire off a few shots he ask for some medical assistance since his groin has obviously been shot as there is blood blotting around that area. He nervously prepared to heal him, for he heard of horrible stories of the healing power gone horribly wrong and where he is heal it could even be worse. (Rolled a 10, Shocked way to close to the cursed 9. 14 total, passes and heals Chelkar for 4) The strength of the power made Victrix feint for a few seconds and was disoriented from it.

Allied Actions:

(Nearby Allies): Despite their subdued numbers, the rebels still hurl a barrage of bullets and ordinance from their positions. Heavy stubber fire rains down from a fortified bunker, while militiamen huddled behind thick walls in the dank mire continue to spit small-arms fire at the advancing Guardsmen.

"Sirs!"

Wm. Jaeger ducks under a smoking fragment of the Chimera before returning to address you.

"The bunker to the northwest is proving to be detrimental to our advance. Their heavy weapons fire has stopped Wm. Abendroth's squad from advancing, and will likely stop the rest of our platoon from advancing unless we can vacate the occupants."

With that Jaeger commands the squad to lay down fire on the offending position. The entire squad fires their lasguns using Full Auto Burst, landing 16 hits but only managing to hit the structure, and not the soldiers within.

(Other Allies): Finding significantly less resistance, 4th and 1st platoon press the attack. Due to the urgency necessitated in the mission, they advance regardless of your current situation. Leman Russ fire beings to hammer the city gate's defenses as the infantry hastily prepare for another blitz on enemy positions.

Miltiamen Turn:

Out of the 16 Miltiamen remaining in the mire, 10 fire upon you and your command squad:

3 Miltiamen fire again at Chelkar, blaring away with their autoguns. Using standard attack, they manage to hit him once, dealing 1 damage.

3 Militiamen fire at Victrix, 2 with bolt-action rifles and 1 with an autogun. The Semi-Auto Burst of the Autogun manages to do 8 damage. The bolt action rifles miss, hitting the husk of the Chimera.

Kruger arrives this turn.

Briefly after Victrix came to from fainting, he rose just slightly above his cover just to see how things were going, with his luck, during that brief second, he gets riddled with bullets from the militia in the mire. He flops on the ground, bleeding from multiple holes on his body. Near death, he craws back far enough from the battle, leaning against the rear of a Chimera, so he cant be shot at while he tries to save his wounds. Gasping for air, with his last bit of strength that he has left, he uses his Heal (Rolls a 7, passes, heals for 4) and feels life rushing back into him. As he sits himself down for a second to breathe, he sees a Vendetta fly overhead. "I hope you take out all those bastards in mire! Eradicate them from the face of existence!"
